Parentin.tv, the first-ever online parenting show in the country celebrated its 2nd Anniversary last September 10, 2011 with select mommy bloggers and members of Parentin.tv at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.
Parentin.tv creator and host, Christine Bersola-Babao - whom we also know as a famous TV-radio personality and mompreneur - welcomed all guests and proudly shared the success of Parentin.tv. After more than 40 parenting episodes, 11 successful events and earning more than 2,000 members on their website, who wouldn't proud of such accomplishments in just a span of 2 years? And now that they're on their 3rd year, they are more eager than ever to share more valuable parenting lessons and other promos for the parents and for the whole family. Aside from these, here are some of the things to expect from Parentin.tv this year:

Families all over the Philippines can now watch Parentin.tv episodes on Knowledge Channel and Skycable ch. 42. The schedule of airing are as follows:
Sundays - 8:00pm
Mondays - 7:20pm
Wednesdays - 8:40pm
Saturdays - 9:00am, 2:00pm and 9:00pm
This year, they move on to topics such as developmental milestones, toddler tips and also more celebrity interviews.

As a show that imparts valuable information to parents, meaningful talks would surely be included. Part of the program was a talk from Vanessa Garon, daughter of Bob & Emmy Garon of the Golden Values School and of Nazareth Formation House, a therapeutic community center that helps rehabilitate individuals with different types of behavioral problems and problems on addiction such as drugs, alcohol and internet and gaming addiction, which was the focus of that afternoon's talk. As we all know, people nowadays are hooked on technology and what's pretty alarming is that even very young kids are beginning to spend more time online or with their gadgets playing all sorts of games, which, when not properly monitored, would lead to behavioral problems later on in life. Two residents from the Nazareth Formation House shared their experiences of how spending too much time online and being a victim of harsh and physical discipline from their parents led them to all sorts of trouble and emotional disorder, which was really something that touched my heart. I, personally, am very thankful that this had been part of Parentin.tv's program for their celebration because it was truly an eye opener for a mother like me of how I should discipline my children and of how I should keep watch of their internet use. They shared a very meaningful quote at the end of their discussion, which holds true of how we should treat our children: "Every child is a precious gift. Hold them like a bar of soap, not too loose, not too light. But just right."Since our duty as moms is to take care of our family and because our family always counts on us, we should always make sure that we are at the pink of health and that is why a a talk about healthy foods and alkalinity was also a part of the program. Ms. Zonito Torrevillas Tamase of the Golden Cafe, who is also a cancer survivor, shared with us all about the health benefits of Moringa (or Malunggay) and how to prevent sickness through alkalinity.
Other highlights of the event were the awarding of the winners of the Parentin.tv Toddler Contest and of the Online Quiz. Fellow mom bloggers Joy and Pehpot (who were also a part of organizing this celebration) also gave the mom bloggers' simple gifts to Ms. Tin Tin, which she truly appreciated.
Before we called it a day, we were given a tour of the suites and rooms available at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and also a tour of their other facilities such as the gym, which all of us moms enjoyed. Take home gifts such as pillows/ mattresses, healthy chips and Smart Steps products, of which Tin Tin Bersola-Babao is endorser, were given to all guests. I am truly grateful to have been a part of Parentin.tv's 2nd Anniversary celebration. It was my first time to see and meet in person Ms. Tin Tin that's why I didn't pass up the chance to be a part of this event. And more than the mouthwatering dishes and heavenly desserts prepared for us by Eastwood Richmonde Hotel's chef, Chef Bienvenido Chavez, I truly enjoyed the company of my fellow mom bloggers, whom I often just see online or just during blogging events.
